I`m wondering if anybody can reccomen any websites or particular articles that go in depth about wetsanding and technique and where do you fine wetsanding supplies? Thanks

Thanks Miguel I think I`m still gonna want you to wetsand those spots but I just wanna see the process but I just wanna learn more about!

Or for play & experimentation, there is also a local source at Woodcraft, Holister & 290. Comes in a box, with 2 sheets (4" x 6" approx) each of 1500, 1800, 2400, 3200, 2600 ,4000, 6000, 8000 & 12000 grit. About $40/box

look through the tech on www.hotrod.com I recall several issues where they showed how to wetsand, maybe this can help?:nixweiss

That technique is is fine for single stage paint.



It will ruin a clearcoat.



Most cars in the last 15 years have a multistage clearcoated system. Wetsanding removes the crucial `skin` of the clear, taking UV protection with it.



Failure is seldom immediate... might take 6 months to a year...

i`m pretty sure some members here have wetsanded clears without doing much damage. are you saying it`s just simply not possible to wetsand clear?
