I did a search, but ran into some conflict between opinions. I was planning on getting the regular velcro backing plate from CMA, but there`s also the flexible backing plate as well. Nick from Detailer`s Paradise in this thread:

recommended to use the flexible backing plates on rotaries over the PC due to lots of vibration. However reading other threads...many people seem to be happy with it? It could be the advise of just one man, but I was wondering what others thought?

Oh and I was planning on getting a 5" backing plate.

Thanks in advance

I like the flex plate, both on rotaries AND the PC. But on the PC, that 5" one doesn`t really flex all that much. Still, I like it, and use it with the *6"* counterweight. I find it has LESS vibration than the regular 6" backing plate.
