#82 Swirl Mark Remover first, but ineffective #83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish then follow it with #82

I think he is suggesting to try the SMR first and if that doesn`t work, go to the DACP.

Is the paint gone? It`s hard to tell from the pix. I think I`d head straight for the DACP and then do finishing up polishing from there `til you`re satisfied with it.

You should be able to use either of these products by hand or with a PC to buff the red paint off your blue car. The #83 is a more agressive than the #82, which is why I suggested using it first. If the red paint is still showing after a couple of attempts with #82, then upgrade to the #83. When no more red paint shows after #83, redo the entire area with #82 to get rid of any micro-marring that #83 may have left.

i can not find anyone locally that carries the product specified.

The closest thing i find to the specifications given was Meguiars Scratch X...

after visiting 2 napas, apparently they are not created all equal. They said they were jobbers Napa and couldn`t get any other meguiars products other than on-shelf.

I used scratch X, a foam applicator, a terrycloth, and a microfiber cloth. I will post pics when i get home.
