What should I do to "prep" my paint for NXT? Can I just wash and then apply the wax or do I need an in-between step? Please explain. Thanks!

If you have an 03 Jetta and it is garage kept - you might be able to go straight to NXT. Do you have any swirls? You might want to at least clay it first.

yea i was going to clay first - but not every time i apply it, and i have no swirls so i guess i can go straight to NXT? that will shorten my detailing time!

Also, what will work better for buffing of NXT, the CBT or the viking edgeless mf? or is there really no difference? thanks

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh another VDub ... Just need to clay once .. then NXT. I clay bout twice a year at the most but mine is washed a lot so contaminants don`t sit.

Good liuck with the NXT I hear its great. And the VDub grey is an awesome color to work with.

This was a brand new platinum grey Jetta, We did

Clay

AIO

KSG

And the shine was amazing,

If I were you I would try somthing like AIO or GEPC before NXT

I wasn`t impressed with GEPC prior to NXT, NXT has a lot of optics to it and I thought it looked equally good with and without GEPC underneath.

AIO maybe to give it a little clean.

To my car, AIO and SG made the car more reflective, mirror like image. NXT made it glossier, deeper, more wet look. It did take a bit out of that mirror shine but it does look better. NXT did a good job in hiding minor swirls too. But I think that paint aint as slick as multiple SG coats. Ive only done NXT x1 so far though. As for prep, you could quick clay, AIO to polish paint a bit and NXT.
