Engine Detail (1991 Tercel)

Here`s s pic of my recent engine detail. The car is my winter beater (1991 Toyota Tercel with 120K miles). I believed the engine has never been cleaned before. Too bad I don`t have any `before` picture of the engine but it was quite dirty...

I cleaned the engine with water and simple green, and then put some protectant to the hose/wire in the engine. The rusts in some parts is ruining the clean look but I just don`t think it`s worth my time and effort to take them apart and repaint them

Pretty dang good for a 12/13-yr old car, I`d say. Did you really do it all with only water and SG??

This engine bay has just gotten through a rough Midwest winter, and everything is covered in grime.
