Zaino on wheels?

I was wandering can you apply z5 or z2 to oem clearcoated wheels for added protection and easier clean up or will the wheels get to hot during breaking for this? Is there a better solution?

I have been using Z-2 on my wheels for about 8 months. I find it makes cleaning brake dust much easier.
