What is your question?
Maybe the pads went in price or the pads were on special the last time you ordered.

Yes, the pads have gone up in price. Check out this thread: Autopia - TOL price increase on LC Pads? (http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31633)

You can get them cheaper - check out this post in the good deals forum:
Lake Country 7 1/2" Pads $6.25 (http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30058)
BlackRegal posted a review here:
Smart Shoppers Inc (http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30455)
I`ve had nothing but good experiences with them.

PAC also has them for the PC (6.5" size) fairly cheap ($7.95).

So they`re basicly the same but smaller size?? It saids it needs a 5" backing plate, does 6" the backing plate (Here (http://www.topoftheline.com/porcabvelpad.html)) also work with the 6.5" pad??

The 6" backing plate will work, BUT the edge of the backing plate will be dangerously close to the edge of the 6.5" pad. You don`t want the backing plate hitting your new car :scared
