Anyone have any suggestions on what to use to remove the adhesive left behind by the protective panel film on a new vehicle? The dealer didn`t get it all off upon delivering the car to me and now that I`ve begun to go over the vehicle, I have strips of adhesive in several spots (e.g., roof, side panels, VW badge ...).

Unless you want to order (then and wait for) something from AutoInt- they have a solvent made for this, you can try adhesive removeror other "prepsol"-type solvents, clay, or something like PPCL or AIO. None of these should hurt your finish, but be careful anyhow.

Or, you could go to the dealer and get some of whatever THEY use from them.

i recently remove the strip on my 2000 accord/3 years old and the residue was tough to remove. i used googone, clay, and i wash the car then aio/sg, and you can still see it when up close with sun light. no residue but the strip leave a mark.
