Now that I have your attention, check out this oxidation I dealt with today on a 89` Bronco...
single stage paint, never waxed. Just did THE RIGHT HALF the hood today, the left side is washed but not polished, the rest will be done tomorrow. Note to everyone, PP works just as good as AIO in removing oxidation (I tried both to see)
PB`s PP, SSR2.5 rotary, ssr1 PC, natties.
Enjoy.

A LOOK DOWN THE CENTER:
you could NOT see any reflection on the untouched side (half my body is missing!)

That`s nice!!

Why did you go with PP before SSR2.5? Just a test, or did you want it to do something specific? I`ve found SSR2.5 works on oxidation pretty well, so I likely wouldn`t bother with anything first.
Or does it remove oxidation more "gently" as it`s a chemical rather than mechanical polish?

The oxidation was just SO bad, I just felt like a quick pass of PP was needed to take up the dead paint before using the SSR`s on the scratches/swirls. Personal preference...

I have never seen anything like it...looking over the side of the hood that was untouched, you cannot see your face - there is *no* reflection. Looking at the pic where you can see my toes, the paint is actually a blue metallic. The oxidation is so bad the left side looks like it was wetsanded with 1000grit.

Well here`s a final pic, ignore the fact we took of the headlights and grill for cleaning :)

What a beast, the rotary pads got gummed up so quick on all the dead paint, it was like buffing peanut butter after only 30 seconds.

The final truck got DACP on rotary, 1Z MP (really nice product!) on PC and EXP. Trim got 1Z TF and chrome got PP.

Bronco`s are rough to work on.
I owned a `79 w/ a 3" lift and 33`s ... I needed a box just so could check the oil :lol

Maybe she hates the car, cuz you give it her triscuits?

Did I say "great job!" yet? If I didn`t, I certainly meant to! The transformation is amazing!!
