Hi all,

I`ve been hanging around here for a few months now, after heaving learned a lot, I would like to know if there are any good books out there regarding detailing and/or paint chemistry.

All ya had to do is look on the Autopia Home Page in the left column for "Books". Several are there, have a look:

I have one of david jacobs books(ultimate auto detailing i think) and chiltons auto detailing. None of them compare to the combo of david`s e-book and autopia. While I admit I have never sat down and read either book cover to cover I have read certain parts. The reason I don`t read them is they are very out of date and there are so many new products out there (mainly polishes and pc) that are better(IMO) than the stuff in these books. I will one day force myself to read them just to learn some of the tips and techniques that still apply. Its nice to have them for this reason but I don`t think they are a necessity to have.

There was a post recently about an updated version of the jacobs book.
