I currently have a black car prepared as follows;

1) Menzerna Intensive polish ( where required)

2) Menzerna Final Polish

3) Z5 x 2

4) Z2 x 3

( Z6 between all layers)

I am very happy with the results but 2 factors are coming into play;

a) Winter is here and I don`t know how Zaino is going to survive in respect to road sand induced swirling etc. I may have to do some serious polishing in the spring.

b) Zaino supplies are running low.

What I am interested in is hearing from owners of pristene black cars who have made the switch to the Klasse twins from Zaino and thier feelings on quality and depth of gloss of Klasse v/s Zaino.

I don`t want to change for sake of change but to me Klasse sounds like its a more forgiving in application protocol.

I have been a follower of this forum for a while so I know there is a lot of opinions out there but I prefer to hear based on experience.

I do have a PC and pads etc and am not a newbie.

I have used both, Zaino SEEMS more durable and more reflective IMO. Klasse adds a bit more richness or depth though.

I switched from zaino to klasse on my black car.

zaino:

+ EASY to apply and remove. super super easy.

+ One system of products, no need to bother with other things

- one system of products - you might feel the desire to experiment, particularly with other qd`s, which is frowned up on by sal zaino.

- Discourages topping with wax. relates to the last point.

- Attracts a lot of dust

klasse:

+ no need to dawn-wash! i feel more secure in knowing that the surface is clean after AIO than after a dawn wash.

+ noticeably deeper, darker shine. Take into consideration that I think all other products look the same (p21s, souveran, zaino, vanilla moose w/o topper, moose wax). klasse makes THAT much of a difference to me in appearance.

+ mfg`er says topping with carnauba will not affect klasse durability

+ compatible with just about any QD out there

+ relatively little dusting compared to zaino.

- HARD to apply and remove using traditional hour-long dry time. Always got hazing no matter what. Sonus helped, but did not completely eliminate hazing for me.

-Sonus, the only qd synergistic w/ klasse, is relatively expensive.

I cannot say much in terms of durability; i`ve never gone for more than 3 weeks w/o putting on something. With very few exceptions, most people have said that the durability of the two are about equal. In the end, i stuck with klasse because the appearance made THAT much of a difference to me, and I liked that I could use other QD`s, car wash soaps, etc., without feeling guilty about throwing a wrench in the system.

Hey Jesstzn, hope all is well.

I`ve used both Klasse and Z.

Used Klasse on the Girls Toyo. Celica and it came out very well.

Awesome protection, shine, etc.

Got Z on the 911 right now, but after seeing her car I`m thinking that Klasse is going on that baby in the next month or two.

Try doing the front quarter panel, one half with Z, and the other with the K.

Got the weather up there on my home page, not that warm I see.

Hope all is well and I find it very sad that I can buy Kokanee cheaper here than up there!!

By the way who owns the red stang in the reflection of the incredible shine of your car?
