During a laundry run last week, my wife didn`t screw the cap on the super

mega sized laundry detergent bottle and spilled about half a gallon (no

joke) into our rear car seat. Blotted it up with towels, but it super

saturated the foam, and it keeps bubbling up and doesn`t seem like it

will ever dry up completely. Any ideas out there on how to get this

out?

Thanks

Personally, I would take the rear seat out. Just hose the hell out of it along with a bristled brush, then squeeze the foam clean. Following, I`d allow it to air dry in the sun or somewhere dry.

Do not allow this stuff (detergent) to dry, because believe it or not, it attracts EVERYTHING (turns gummy) and STINKS! I don`t know of anything else. Good Luck!

You may want to use a Wet/Dry Vac to get as much liquid out. Afterwards, saturate the area with water and Wet/Dry vac it again. You may need to do this a few times to get as much out. Good luck.

I`d do what GSRstilez said. I did that with the passenger seat in my car because it had a lot of coffee spilled on it before it came into my posession. I just hosed it, and in my case, I think I used some soap too. After I squeezed as much water out as I could, I blotted some with a towel, then used a shop vac to suck some more. Then I let it air dry in the sun. Good luck!
