Stains under mirrors?

After raining (or heavy dues) something runs down from my mirrors on both sides leaving a slight stain.



Anyone else experience this? Any remedies?

I have gotten that on a couple of vehicles , what I think it is is the wash/rain water leaching out lubricants in the mirror housing.
