I recently started using VM and am very pleased. Being a liquid it doesn`t seem to spread evenly until you get your applicator damp. That brings me to my question.

Does anyone dampen their applicator with QuickShine or FI when applying VM?

This sounds like a Scottwax question since he uses hand applications.

I use VM in EVERY detail I do. I absolutely love it. However, I use it on a white polish pad on my PC at setting 5. I never dampen it.

I have had no issues with it.

I just ordered some VM. They say it is not as thick in consistency as say SEPC. Do you think you waste more product by using the PC or do you think you would get better results my hand???

I was thinking of trying it with the PC when I get it.

Personally, I prefer to just let the pad saturate itself while im doing it .....I hate combining Qd`s with waxes, sealants, or glazes.....

I agree with Patrick; VM is so thin that I let IT saturate the pad....and it`s true, it seems to work better after it is damp. I just keep adding VM to the pad to keep the moisture content up.

Using Vanilla Moose with a machine seems to take something away from the whole process. Nothing like getting right into that nice feel and smell by applying it by hand. (Scottwax must have had some influence)

I let it "saturate" the pad but not like dripping! It works much better with the PC because you work it in real well. Try 2 coats!

I use it by hand on glass and all trim including rubber.

To me (I don`t care what anyone says) there is no comparison between a PC and by hand.

It works fine by hand. Like Patrick said, since VM is a thin product, the pad is pretty moist after the first fender or two.

I agree, that`s why as a rule I do the roof of my truck first.

Just curious to see if anyone dampens their pad by other means, e.g. QD.
