Please look at this page at Top of the Line (http://www.topoftheline.com/polisherpads.html) and tell me the difference between the Lake Country Pads and the the Lake Country Polisher Pads.

I have the cheaper ones for my PC.

I just got the Makita 9227C. Can I use them on this machine? Will the backing plate that came with the Makita fit them?

Thanks?

I believe one is 7.5" and one is 8.5"

The "Polisher Pads" (the more expensive ones) are the larger 8.5" pads. According to the TOL website description: "These 8.5" Lake Country pads require a 7-7.5" velcro back plate." Therefore, it should work fine with the 7" backing plate on the 9227C.

Disclaimer: I don`t have a rotary, and have never used the bigger pads, but it seems like it should work fine to me.

yes one is 7.5" and one is 8.5". They should fit your Makita if the backing plates are the same size. The rotary`s tend to have a larger backing plate so be sure to check before you order.

Thanks guys! I figured as much. It seems like you need to be a tad more careful when buying the proper backing plates with the proper pads for a rotary.
