This thread (http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=235547) is one I`ve bookmarked, as it has lots of info and links regarding "good" and "bad" silicones.

You`ll find there are some concerns about the effect of silicone on polymer sealants (Klasse SG, Zaino, etc.) and other concerns about silicone`s effect on rubber. Others understand the intricacies of this topic MUCH better than I, but that thread will get you started.

Yeah ... but, like I said, I expect there`s still more to be said, and I hope other, more experienced Autopians will still offer their advice here.

Or did that old thread answer all your questions??
