I need your opinions to help me decide on whether to purchase this extractor below. Is DurrMaid a reliable brand?

I want this for convenience and its good specifications for a mini extractor. I will probably be using this 2x a week for part time detailing. Another extractor I am contemplating on is called the Striker.

I am more concerned here about reliability. All opinions are very much appreciated. Thanks.

I was thinking about getting one myself. Through my research I found out Carmax bought a bunch for their cleanup shops and the one in Nashville had some. I talked to the cleanup shop manager and he said theirs was always broken. The heating unit would fail after 2 or 3 uses. I passed on the DurrMaid. I still haven`t bought anything.

I am familiar with this incident from a search here that I did. I just want to give Durrmaid the benefit of the doubt. It may have been a bad batch. Any other positive and negative experiences here?

HellrotCi, have you come up with another brand of mini extractor?

I believe Anthony Orosco has the Striker and gave it a good initial review.

The Striker as suggested by Anthony is definitely on my list. I just really need to investigate Durrmaid a little more before purchasing. It happens that the Durrmaid has more features and strength than the Striker. But if it is not reliable then it`s just not worth it. I just need more input on Durrmaid OR perhaps other Durrmaid extractors you guys maybe using.

I have this exact model and have used it almost weekly since Juns with no problems. My only complaint is that the nozzle is pretty awkward and hard to get into alot of the spots that get the most wear. I am thinking of picking up a different nozzle to try. SO far...so good. I don`t have much of a frame of reference though, since this is the only one I have ever used.

Thanks Brett for the great tip and for sharing your experience. Anyone else?
