Teach me , I do not have a way of lifting the car, but would love to do it before the winter comes.

Also what are the advantages of detailing the undercarriage besides the looks?

Is this a good way to find potential future problems?:nixweiss

There are no real advantages...plus its a real PITA to keep clean unless you do alot of shows.

Here are some pics of mine on my Nissan 300zx...

I clean mine with Megs APC+ then treated with Megs Engine Kote as it dries hard and not a "dressing" per say.. more of a wax. In fact if you smell it, it smells like floor wax!

Tried EK in the engine area, and even with a high volume spray, it still put out small white beads, which I had to spread with a foam paint brush. Now, I just use 303 in the engine area for all plastic/rubber and EK on metal parts by foam brush.

For undercarriage, EK works very well! Wheel wells too!

I finally got the sprayer needed for the EK and I`ll second what Deanski said. Works great on wheel wells, tried on my caddy and my gf`s car. I just need to spread it with the foam brush next time.

Will be doing my Audi undercarriage plastic panels soon :up

That 300ZX makes me sick with jealousy...I just want to vomit, then pay you to keep my car that clean. Nice work.
