Is this possible or out of the question?
Over the last year these have become more noticeble to a point that they are looking bad on a other wise excellent looking car.
Has any one ever polished mirrors, what products and techniques did you use?
I think these were caused by the ice scraper during the Winter .
Do you have the same problem with ice build up?

On my Dakota and PT cruiser they are plastic and not glass.
I use Mothers plastic polish on them every time I detail , keeps them new looking.

explorer, are you talking about the housing (which is probably painted plastic) or about the mirrors themselves?

if its the housing you`re talking about, and they`re anything like the ones on my truck, (supposed to be a gloss black plastic?) I just use Meguiar`s Deep Crystal System Cleaner (Step 1) to get them clean.

Sorry dude, I have heated mirrors.
If they`re that banged up, it wouldn`t be too off the wall to replace them.
Otherwise you can take them out and work on them easier when off.
