Well, I broke down and got the PC from Coastal. I have some pads on order from TOL. Meanwhile, what is an appropriate use for the white pad that comes with the PC? E.g. -- is it good for light polishing (#9) or what?

I use it with Autoglym glass polish. Have fun with the PC! :)

For a little over a year, I have used the white screw on pad for Meg`s #9. No problems, just a nuisance to change. I also bought a Meg`s velcro backing plate and several Meguiar`s pads.

I use it with 3M SMR and that`s about it. I don`t like it for GEPC or PPCL, I prefer to do those by hand.

It`s fine for light polishing. I`ve used #9 and Pinnacle PCL with it at speeds 3 1/2 to 4.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I will see what the #9 can do on some very very light swirls on my Torch Red Z06. I thought it might be a good idea to start with a mild product for the first go-around.

*White pads, light cutting, speed 3.5 - 4.5 used for - Polishing, SMR, Resin Polish, Paintwork Cleaner, and Wax application, use white pads to apply one-step products like Klasse All-In-One.

*refers to Durofoam Variable Contact Pads (DVC) by Lake Country Manufacturing 6.5 Pad Size

Hope this helps.../

I never use it, too weak for a polish and too harsh for a wax. I use the yellow and blacks pads.
