My dad picked up his E320 today after service and found a pretty significant blemish on the front bumper. I whipped out the rubbing compound and gave it a shot. Turns out it was just a slight "coating", if you will, of a plastic guide post. Since I already did that, I decided that I`d do the rest of it. So here are the before/after pics.

good job , next time try a least abrasive approach . Rubbing compound can leave alot of scratches and take of clearcoats..

Thanks for the praise guys. And I agree, the late 90s and early 00s were great times for Mercedes bodies. This E class generation is one of those body styles that`ll remain a classic. The satisfaction level after cleaning this car every week is off the scale. European cars clean up unbelievably well.

It`s called Desert Silver Metallic. Kind of a silvery champagne color. It doesn`t show too much dirt, but you really notice a difference when you start layering the wax on. As soon as I get my PC I`m gonna do a 5-7 step polish/wax combo to see how good it can look. I may even try Zaino, it tends to look better on lighter cars.

Good work. I would have been mad if I picked up my car and the service department bumped something.
