Well I finally got a pratice hood. I have played around with a rotary , but this is my first time actually trying to correct defects. I did this panel with DACP w/ rotary, then Speed Glaze w/ PC and S100 to top. The hood looked pretty good with just the DACP and Speed Glaze but I wanted the full affect.:) The spots that you see are rock chips and what not.

P.S. Thank You EBPcivic for the tips and instruction:bigups :beer

Cool, sorry I couldn`t come today. Did you use the yellow pad with the DACP? How did you think the foam was vs. the wool we use the other day?

Wet sanding next? :naughty

The only way to learn is to jump in and get your feet wet !!! You will be amazed how easy it is to get comfotable with the rotary. Great job again !!!

Way to go! Good for you. You`ve got alot more guts than I have. What a remarkable difference between the finished section and the untouched. Amazing. Nice work. :)

So did you use a wool bonnet? - Or just the foam pads? I gave it a go again with my car using ssr2 and the meg`s yellow pad on the horizontals. Then ssr1 all over with the PC @ 5.5 it came out awesome.

00,

Nice work - aren`t free hoods GREAT!! You get to try what ever you want, and no risk to your personal / customer`s vehicle!!

What do you do to secure yours to work on? I just layed mine over sawhorses and had my son hold it, but I don`t think the PC has anywhere near the kick of a rotary.
