Hey guys,

My wife and I just picked up a new 2004 Jeep Liberty as a second vehicle. It`s Deep Molten Red Pearl Coat.

We are having summer like weather up here in Eastern Ontario. I decided yesterday morning, that i`d give "Rocky" (my wife gives names to all of our cars and other things too :D) it`s first taste of detailing attention to get it ready before winter gets here.

Having said that here are the results:

I didn`t have time for the full treatment, but i washed the car using Meguiar`s Gold Class Shampoo.

Then i put down 1 coat of Meguiar`s Polish and 1 layer of Mother`s Pure Carnauba Paste Wax.

I tired half of the hood with Mother`s and the other half with Meguiar`s # 26. The Mothers had more shine on this paint, so i went with that.

As a side note.......I was very surprised at the paint quality on the Jeep. This is the first new car that i`ve taken home in the last 10 years that i didn`t find some factory paint defect at my first detailing session. All of my other cars (domestic and foreign made) had some type of defect from the factory. Hope the rest of the car`s quality is the same !
