or if it`s a really bad idea.

the bottle says don`t use on plastic with pores.

dashboard have pores?

Yes, plastic dashes have pores.



No, you should not use liquid waxes and polishes on plastic.



Use a water based protectant that`s designed to protect things like dashboards. Consider 303 Aerospace, Vinylex, Meguiar`s #40, etc.
