Didn`t see this anywhere so I thought I would ask the board. I have a 2001 Cobra with leather seats and suede inserts. What you anyone recommend for cleaning the suede? It isn`t really that dirty but I want to do some prevention by minor cleaning. Thanks for any help.

I am not really sure of the deal here, BUT I do have suede/nubuck type boots (and have a black pair of jungles just to satisfy my spit shining needs) so here I go off on a tangent.

The next time you go out to the drugh store (Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, Genovese, Duane Reade) or supermarket (A and P, Pathmark, Walbaums, Shop rite, etc. etc.) or super store (Kmart and Walmart) go into the shoe car section and loom for Kiwi`s suede and nubuck cleaner and they also have a protectant. They also have this nail brush and eraser in a package.

It may or may not work, but if you try a small spot and like it, why not?

Hope this helps,

Jason

It`s not suede, it`s a material called Alcantara. I have the same material in my Lightning. I use a suede/nubuck brush to keep the nap looking nice and not flat.

While using 303 High-Tech Fabric Guard on my convertible top, I noticed that it is recommended for "unfinished" leathers, such as suede. I can attest that it did wonders on the top (also used with their Convertible Top Cleaner).
