Talk to you painter about how long you need to wait before waxing/sealing the fresh paint (and heed his advice). Generally:

You can wash it, but be careful as many/most paints continue to dry/harden for a while.

"Body-shop safe" glazes, such as 3M`s Imperial Hand Glaze are OK to use on new paint until you can wax it.

Try 0000 steel wool and Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound. :o

Just kidding! :lol

DEFINATELY talk to the fella who painted your car!!!!!!!!!

Imperial Hand Glaze works well with new paint. You can use weekly for however many days, weeks, according to the painter, until you can wax you car. That is, if he recommends it.

I would use a very mellow wash like Meguiars 00 High Tech and a delicate wash mitt.
