Can you post a link or a pic of what you are talking about? There are lots of products out there with names like "shammy" so its hard to decipher what you`ve got in mind without a visual pic. Thanks.

i guess they are hand made in texas and are hard to get or used to be not sure. THESE ARE NOT CHAMOIS. unlike the chamois the surface feels very dry but are soft. they do act like a chamois though in how they soak up water. it says on the sheet they dont scratch surfaces but who knows. here are some pics..

It is a non-woven cellulose cloth that really resembles felt. 21 x`s it`s weight in water common on?!

That is what the pictures resemble. I have several. I don`t know about 21x its weight in water retention. It does hold a lot of water though. It is great for spills. When our water heater leaked, it paid for itself. For those chores it is far superior to microfiber.

I just recently the cloth tried it as my first wipe when using QEW. Because it holds moisture it performed well, leaving sufficient moisture for the MF wipe.

I am glad to hear you have found a product that worked well for you at reasonable price. I just find that sometimes product claims get a tad "inflated".
