I have a freshly painted vehicle with only 3M IMperial hand glaze and for those touchups i wanted a QD, i can`t find meguiars final inspection anywhere locally but i did come across 3M`s gloss enhancer. it says it contains isotrophyl alcohol - will it do anything to the freshly cured paint? Does it contain wax or silicones? Thanks.

According to all the literature I`ve seen on that product, no, it doesn`t contain any wax. I do not know about the silicones though.

Cheers.

I don`t think very many (except the carnauba-based QDs) contain "wax", and "silicones" are pretty much impossible to avoid in detailing supplies so I wouldn`t worry about that. You could always try emailing 3M and just ask them if it`s paintable or bodyshop safe....

Check your PMs please qwik.
