I was just reading the latest Griot`s catalog, and read an interesting tip.



The suggestion was to mix Griot`s Best of Shine Wax with their car wash soap. That way you get a wash and wax all in one.



Is this a good idea? Will it actually help the shine, or is it just a waste of wax?



Kind of reminds me of the "wash and wax" setting on the drive thru carwash at Chevron.

There have been quite a few threads on this topic and if I remember correctly, the results are marginal at best. Not like the results you will get with applying wax directly and probably just a waste of wax all together. Though some did mention a benefit of adding a QD.
