What can I do to save these rims? I tried Never Dull and it didn`t work very well. The finish on them is rough and dull. I haven`t tried Wheel Wax or Klasse AIO, but from what I`ve read they`re more cleaners than anything else, so I doubt they`d help here.:nixweiss I`d like to make them as shiny as they were when they were new. Utah winters have taken their toll.

I had the exact same wheels. I ended up getting buffing wheels and compound(the red stuff?). Then Auto Wenol the stuff worked wonders. No acid based cleaners for wheels and or tires. Many suggest a good coating of Klassee when they are cleen and shiny. I also got stockers for the winter as salt will eat them alive. Hope this helps.

Hmm. So, Auto Wenol? How does it go on and where can I get some?

I buffed the wheels before the wenol product though. But it would not hurt to try it first.

Mothers mag and aluminum polish works great for any type of rim. I sometimes use a dremel tool with a soft buffing attachment too.

Autosol paste or liquid is what i have done on many wheels. Topped with never dull and then during the next car wash, omikron super gloss wash and wax. Stops wheels from getting dirty with brake dust and other crap like they used too.

those look like they WERE polished aluminum which would mean they are not clearcoated. I had the same problem with my ARE Baja`s...took it to a detailer, and they sprayed the wheels with a 50/50 mix of acid and water, it turned the wheels a whitish color, but all surface garbage was off and I polished with Blue Magic wheel polish, and got them looking pretty good.

That`s my only complaint about the polished aluminum rims--no clearcoat (oh and they`re soft).
