I spent about 5 hrs on our 97 Toyota RAV-4 today. Started out with the PC using a yellow pad and #9 SMR. After one coat of that, I went straight to wax (Meguiar`s Deep Crystal system wax). Not bad for minimal product use. I also used Eagle One tire wet on the tires and wheel wells, Meguiar`s Trim Detailer on the lower cladding, and Stoner`s IG outside / Fabrik Clearvision inside.

Unfortunately I can`t get my Stealth to look like this, I think it mainly has to do with the fact that the Stealth doesn`t have a clearcoat and the paint is getting pretty thin. Any advice on non-clearcoated cars?

Why use trim detailer when baby oil or saddle soap will do a much better job. Meguiars tyre gel is also good for re blackening the exterior plastic bits as well. That`s all i use the gel for.

Meguiars make excellent professional products but they are not the best and make products that you do not need such as the trim detailer.

At horse and saddle shops. :p It really is supposed to be for leather saddles.... sure maybe it works, but IIRC it`s pretty alkaline stuff and I personally wouldn`t try this when there are other purpose-made products available. Try a search on "saddle soap" to see what the folks say... *shrug*
