Hello Autopia. I spent from 9AM-2PM detailing this 1993 non clearcoat red Celica for a friend.

The car had 145,500 miles on it. The car hasn`t been washed for 5 years according to my friend. The paint was a dark pink/light red with a satin sheen to it.

Two before pictures.

Sweet wet shine, the Celica looks great. I see that you have a pic of Zaino products. Did you only used Zaino and please tell us your method or steps.

Thanks Intel and Christopher.

What I did to the Celica

1. Wash with Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo (strong mixture, used Valugard Omni All Purpose on lower panels with feather tipped brush.) (Cleaned rims and tires first, degreased engine, but too many brushed Aluminum parts, wasn`t satisfied with it, didn`t have time to 5 letter word about it.)

2. Menzerna IP with foam cutting pad and rotary buffer.

3. Zaino Z18 clay with Meguiars QD.

4. Klasse AIO with foam polishing pad and rotary

5. Dawn Wash

6. Zaino Z1 then Z5, let dry, (interior work here) then removed

7. Z6 QD it

Interior

1. Removed everything not attached. Brushed, vac`d, spot cleaned.

2. Dressed dash and vinyl parts

3. Cleaned door jambs

4. Dress tires with Eagle Wet spray

5. Spray down wheel wells with Stoner`s Trim Shine.

Finally cleaned the glass and polished all the plastic with Zaino Z14 plastic polish.

Certainly a nice transformation. Great job. I hate waxing my 65 Stang because it has Non-Clear coated paint on it and I go through several applicator pads and turn my hands red in the process.

always appreciate a nonclearcoated car since its easy to see the hardwork you`ve done when finished.
