im looking to buy a towel kit, any suggestions??

im looking to buy a towel kit, something that comes with just about everything i need to get started and is of good quality. does anyone have any suggestions or links for me to check out? Thanks- Ja

P.S.- whats everyone think of the Viper MFs, ive heard mixed reviews on their products

10 or more 16x16" (terry) MF towels

The best place to get mf towels, imo, is from www.pakshak.com



If you mention you post here you will geta discount. You`lll get the best towels available and great service.

Get ALL your MF towels from Pakshak! You can see my red Lexus SC430 there as well as on this site.



Add to that, a cotton MF towel from Autopia`s store called a "CBT" and you may want one other from this mfg. DFTOWEL. Both are VERY SOFT for final wipe or QD work.



The Pakshak towels have more bite for removing polishes w/o fear of scratches, are of very high quality, edges are finished.



The majority of users here all swear by these Pakshak towels and I have to agree!



Get one of the assortments, regular MF`s and at least one waffel for drying. You`ll throw away all those synthetic chamois away!



Don`t waste anymore time... Go now and get them!

I think the five piece set at CMA is a pretty good starter kit.

I bought it before I really knew what I was getting into.

The 3 green viper towels are pretty good. I`ve used them on paint without any problems. The Magic towel is really thick and plush. It was great for taking off my Zaino, but eventually got loaded as I couldn`t do my entire car with it. I`d buy a lot more of those if they weren`t so expensive. The glass towel is what they said it would be, streak free, etc.



As far as best bang for the buck, I just received 10 16x16s and a waffle weave from Pakshak. I haven`t had a chance to use the ww towel yet, but I heard it`s great. Great product, great service, great guy. :xyxthumbs

Don`t buy a kit. By a large handful of PakShaks at the Autopian price. Also buy the waffle weave for drying. For the over priced "kit", you can get a slew of PakShaks. Thay are good for everything.



Vipers aren`t that good. They are not soft and plush like PakShak.

Hey everyone, I have one question about PakShak towels. From the pictures on the website, they look to be similar to the microfiber towels sold by Griots as far as in construction and material, are they? I`m asking because I have 3 Griots microfiber towels that work well, but when used on glass they shed tiny fibers on the window. Also, I dropped one on my driveway and it picked up some debris from the trees around my house. It seems the towel has locked in the debris and it is hard to even pick it out of the towel with tweezers. I guess good for wax, but bad for cleaning. Just wondering if they are similar.



I cannot say more about the waffle weave towels from Autopia though. I have found them to be absolutely perfect performers!!!

It was the forum I got a GREAT deal on..., the best towels I have tried and a 50% discount for mentioning Roadfly!

I even got the WW drying towels, 2 for $25, the best deal out there and highly recommended on roadfly and the "Guru`s" :)

Definitely get at least one Autopia CBT towel, softest towel and leaves a great shine, I think better than regular microfiber towels

I`ve purchased the Elite towels and they are excellent, very plush for buffing. Only negative is that the towels have tags that must be removed.



I also have about a dozen 70/30 towels that I purchased from www.tacscar.com. These are great for drying door jams, drying wheels, cleaning windows, buffing out 303 protectant and numerous other "dirty" jobs that you wouldn`t need a plush towel for but need something that doesn`t leave lint. Good price.



To round out the collection I have 3 Big Blue Drying Towels. These are from CMA and are the waffle-weave towel that is wonderful for drying the car. I`ve ordered one from Pakshak to check out and give as a gift to my mom for her new Liberty.



Good luck and you won`t reget purchasing towels from any of the vendors I listed.
