Can I use Z2 on non-clearcoated paint? Some of my interior is spray painted, and I can`t clearcoat it due to the type of paint I used. I already have some Z2, and really don`t want to buy Z3 for some small little pieces, but I don`t know if it`ll be ok to use the Z2 on them. I know Sal would probably endorse Z3 but if Z2 will work fine then that`s fine with me lol.

Z-3 has cleaners, brighteners and other additives, however, Z-2 will also work.

i plan to do some "playing" with the "Z" products on different finishes..., like Z-3 on clear, etc.

I have used Z-2 on single stage, the only problem would be making SURE your prep work in "perfect", as Z-2 will not mask any imperfections.

I am sure Z2 might work, but do you have any Z5?

Yeah I have some Z5. I was going to use like 3 coats of Z2 because I wanted some real crisp reflections from the pieces, and a durable protection. But if Z5 would do that and be better then I could put several coats of it on instead.

Try Z5 as a base coat, then top with Z2. Be sure to either use Z1 or ZFX for the Z5 to bond to the surface.

Heres my logic on this Z5 can be used on clear coated and single stage paints. So put Z5 down as a base and Z2 would bond to the Z5 right?

That does make good sense. I never thought of it like that lol. I can`t wait till I have some time to Z5 the whole car and do the interior.

Well I did my whole car and then used 2 coats of Z5/zfx then a layer of Z2 on the painted interior pieces. It looks great! It looks like it has a clearcoat!
