This week I`ll be detailing an old Cadillac convertable. That`s all the info I have, so I don`t know the year or model. I only have experience on modern cars, so I`m not sure what differences, if any, to expect. Any tips?

If it`s old, it may have a single stage paint. Good luck and post pics if possible, I need something to look at while I`m at work.

Thanks for reminding me. I will try to post pics but I`ll have to scan them as I don`t have a digital camera.

Cool...any suggestions? I`m not sure what condition the car is in, but do you think ssr2.5 should be strong enough applied with a pc?

check it out first, and if it`s an older paint job, I`d stick with non-abrasive cleaners like Professional Polish or if it`s not too bad, the PwC...
I`m assuming you don`t have a paint thickness guage, as most of us don`t...so abrasive products could be dangerous with all those fins and angled parts:)

What about cleaning the convertable top? 4* carpet and upolstery cleaner?

I use Spray and Wipe and a soft brush to clean...it`s pH neutral and won`t harm the vinyl ...follow up with Natural Look and buff with a cotton towel...

hmmm...I was assuming it was fabric. Vinyl should be much easier. If it has leather seats too, and I`m pretty sure it will, I can have a NL party:lmfao
