I`ve been a little fuzzy on this myself. So I went to the Search page, and did a couple of searches (one for "avoid silicone" and one for PDMS). Found this thread (http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20524) especially informative.

Here`s one more slightly technical thread:

Another with some good info, near the end:

And one with my personal tilt in the last post ;)

It`s pretty much impossible to get away from "silicone" in QD, wax, protectants, and dressings - you just have to know what products to avoid.

Silicons are like Cholesterols. They are either good cholesterol or bad cholesterol.

We just need to know what are those good silicons to use for certain applications.
