Hey Autopia

Remember this thread?

I got to give this car an exterior detail last Tuesday.

Here is the picture collage....

The top two are beading from rinsing. The car was only touched once since the thread above. The owner washed it because it was really dirty over a winters use and 10K so he washed it with the Z-7 I gave him. He said it was so freaking easy to wash, it was actually fun. The beading and sheeting also amazed him. He said this time use whatever you used last year. So I washed and dried with Z-7 applied Z-1, let haze, then the new Z-5, then Z-6`d. Which is the 3 pictures on the bottom.

The top right is the swirling on the finish, it was a little worse but not much last year. The Z-5 seemed to lighten them once cured over a year :)

I also did detailed the Tahoe this time. Washed, removed the bugs and tar. Then IP with foam cutting and rotary. Then dawn wash and Z-1 with new Z-2. (sorry no Interior pictures, owner was very happy, has a little 4 year old who loves to throw milk around.)

Trim Shine in wheel wells. Anyone in Staten Island/Brooklyn want to split a case? $32.83 a case with free shipping, 12 cans in a case.

Then did a Buick Century from 2002. Klasse AIO with rotary and foam polishing pad, then a coat of SG.

Not to bad for less than 8 hours of fun :)

Thanks for reading,

The Tahoe took 4 hours for inside and out (also did the engine, wow two batteries?), the BMW and Buick were exterior only (the door jambs were pretty clean so I didn`t have to degrease them, some Qd and AIO handled them nicely.)

Thanks :D

Thanks Brian and SLD!

I owe the shine of the Buick to Klasse AIO with a rotary :) then an application of SG. One damp Mf and one dry one works wonders!

Jason, if I`m reading this correctly, your three coats of Z-5 applied one year ago are still beading on this car? Not bad at all. Great job!

Thanks Miguel, Adam, Brad, and Intermezzo (shot out of the dark Anthony?)

Yep. I bow at the durability of Z5, and it seemed to cover up the swirls nicely. The car also only washed once since last year and last Tuesday when I got my hands on it.
