Just finished taking some pics of an GMC Envoy I have been detailing today, I have the whole weekend to accomplish it so I`m just taking my time on it now. So far I have the exterior cleaned. Washed with Meguiars Gold Class, then used the Mother`s Clay Bar, and topped it off with VM. Cleaned the windows with Stoners Invisible Glass and cleaned the trim up with the Stoners Trim Shine.

I will be topping the exterior off tomorrow with S100.

Here`s a few pics.

Dress the Tires it ruins the whole image of the car.

Other than that nice job I love VM.

Aurora, I`m curious why you applied VM yet plan to top with S100. Since you`ve clayed, there`s no benefit from the VM cleaners, and it doesn`t work as a "protective" coat since S100 lasts longer. Neither would you find an increase in shine, as the S100 is what`s on top.

I think it looks great! Clean tires are a good thing :)

Well, the VM was to take care of some very very faint scratches, and a couple scuff marks here and there. Worked wonderfully. Problem is, the VM has some wax in it, but the S100 will give a bit more durability.

I think the tires look fine myself. I mean hell they look clean enough to eat off of as it is so no complaints from me. Sure, a coat of dressing would dress them up a bit (uh.. pun intended... how profound!) but they`re a-ok as is. ;)

I wouldn`t skip the VM, it seems to add some depth to the S100 shine, maybe it`s just me though. BTW the tires look fine to me.

It isn`t just you. I think VM adds depth to S100 also. In fact, it looks damn good by itself in those pics. I know for a fact that VM will bead water for at least 2 months based on my own testing of a black Expidition I wash weekly that is parked outside in the sun during the day.

I noticed the VM protected very well too on my own vehicle. I used just VM on my car last time I did it and it beaded water for about 2 months or so. Better than the S100 did for my personal vehicle.

I still haven`t figured out why it won`t stay on my car. I am getting real good protection for a while on a couple other cars I detail regularly. One in fact is still beading after 3 months.

It`s official name is Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze. It contains the same petroleum based wax that is in Moose Wax.
