I have read a lot about this, and there`s no real method listed for the application.

How do you guys do it?

I was going to do this:

Dawn Wash

Claybar

Dawn Wash

ZFX

Z2

Z6

(repeat ZFX 3 times)

Then top it with S100

Am I right in this, or is there more to it, in either the Zaino application OR the S100 application?

I appreciate any help you can give!

Edit: Which S100 should I buy? I have read of two different products so I`m not sure which one... both are available at Harley dealers right?

If you haven`t already, do a search on "Nick T". He wrote up a really good outline of his tips and tricks.

I did the same thing but used Z5 and Z2. Just so I`m hearing you correctly, you are going to use ZFX and Z2 together...right ? From the way it`s written, it can be interpretted differently.

This is what I`ve done:

Dawn

Clay (lube is the key)

Dawn (some say you should use Z7 or regular wash instead)

Z5/ZFX

Z2/ZFX

Z5/ZFX

Z2/ZFX

(with Z6 in between each step above)

I haven`t topped with S100, so I can`t comment from experience, but a lot of people here say they`ve had great success with it. The S100 is at Harley shops or online for about $15.

For removal, I started with the 100% cotton towels that Zaino recommends. My towels were still new the first time I did it, so I had a lot of lint. So I switched to MF towels without any problems.

Good Luck

Oh....it`s a beautifull thing. Just make sure you give atleast a day before topping the S100 over the zaino. I got a new cam, so I`ll show you my results.

It made my car look a little wetter and reflected color a little better. It made my car look whiter (it`s a white car)

94NDTA,

Looking Sweet !! :xyxthumbs

What was your paint prep ? Clay, polish, etc.

How many layers of Z did you use and did you only do Z2 ?

Alcohol wash (old zaino removal)

Clayed

DACP on hood

#9 on the rest and on hood

Dawn

Z1

5 coats Z5 w/Z6 between each coat

8 coats Z2 wZ6 between each coat

3 coats S100 waiting 1-2 days before each coat and Z6 between each coat.

I am very pleased with my car. I was wondering if Z6 is too strong of a QD to use between coats of S100?
