I did a search, to no avail I wasn`t able to find anything that could help. Most of the models were for newer car models. And I know newer auto glass is not the same.

Is old auto glass very very different? My friend is avoiding buying a new windshield ($500.00).

Thank you for your help,

Your humble newbie - Maria

A pitted windshield is pretty bad. I doubt any glass polish can fix it. The only solution is to replace it.

Anything we can try to do? We`d like to make replacement the very last resort. (Trying to keep the parts as "original" as possible)

Find a original replacement windshield.

You can try to improve it with a glass polishing kit. Link below

I tried a glass polish with my PC on a severly pitted windshield on a 80`s Jetta. Made the glass smooth, but actually enhanced the pits (been through countless sandstorms.)
