One of my regular`s mother in law was in town and after I cleaned his Excursion and LX 470, he asked if I could do anything with his MIL`s Civic. After looking inside, I told him I`d need at least 3 hours (conservative estimate!) and I had another car after his. He then said, well, if you could just vacuum it out, that would help. Just doing that took 20 minutes. :scared

shouldn`t that car carry a toxic-waste sign or something alike?

Sometimes you just got to wonder how some people can skip cleanliness  . Oh, i`m not measuring it up to Autopian`s standard, just plain and simple cleanliness.

that kinda looks like the inside of my GF`s civic. She leaves pop cans in there for WEEKS at a time! Disgusting!

I recall finding stuff like that in my Pastor`s Concorde when I first detailed it. After I got through, I had a nice little chat with her about everything I did and she understood that she has to be stricter.

Scott- how would you go about cleaning inside all those crevices by the seat controls as well as getting those stains out?

Greg-I have several brushes that can reach into those crevices. I have also had to take seats out to clean in accessible areas. I charge an additional $35 when I have to do that (per pair of seats). I don`t charge to remove the removable seats in minivans or SUVs though since they are quick release.

My question is, how can she stand to be in a car like that? Doesn`t it smell horrible?!?!

honestly, thats nothing i havnt cleaned lately since I started working professionaly.

To get in the crevaces you just spray alot of the general purpose cleaner you are using and use a towel to sqeeze in every which way you can.

For very very tough spots let the cleaner soak in it for a little then suck it out with a vacum.

Cars like that, the interior takes about 2-3 hours. Depending if its just me or i have the other guy with me.

We also have an industrial size hot water extractor. 55 gallon drums of general purpose cleaner (spray it right on the vinyl, diluted of course and just wipie it off, it cleans most everything) and lots of other stuff to help get things like that out.
