I`m having the bumpers on my car repainted.
Any tips you can provide on what to check for at the time of pickup.......
My niece just had her car hood + front bumber repainted. The bumper had several very small blisters which were sanded away by the dealer. The bumper also had the size of a dime a glob of paint on it. It also was repaired. I would also check for compound scratches in bright sun light if possible.
Well, if it was anal me, I would get down on the ground and look
underneath for ANY overspray on the bottom of the car, ANY dirt specks in the paint anywhere, any runs/sags, and then worry
about the color match and overall appearance.
But I`m a concours competitor so probably not your average body
shop`s favorite customer.

if it`s a hard color to match (i.e. silver), try to get a look at it under some artificial lighting as well as sunlight.

I made `em pull the fascias and paint them off the car, so there`s no overspray to worry about.
