After cleaning door jambs, what do you use to re-lubricate the hinges (grease, silicone spray, etc.) ? Is lithium-based grease better?

I like to use the "dry chain lube" that I use on my bike chain.

After some research some places recommend a penetrating lube or graphite lubricant.

I also use dry chain lube that I use on my bike. I use it in the engine bay, door hinges and my gas cap door.

It minimizes dirt attraction and lubes extremely well. It doesn`t last as long but you`ll know when you need to reapply. A little goes a long ways BTW.

The brand I use is Tri-Flow

Also check your owners manual - it often has a list of lubes recommended for each part of your car.

my factory service manual says to use white lithium grease. yours might be different.
