Gotta tell us to the condition of your paint.. You prolly won`t need Fine Cut you can probably go straight to #9 if you have newer paint

Why not use Poorboys abrasive products and polish prior to EX? Isn`t it better to stay with one line of product when you can?

I don`t think i is better. Some Companies make a few real good products and some not so good ones. I am a huge Griot`s Garage fan but would not think of using some of there products. I usually use Griot`s car wash, Mother`s clay bar, Griot`s polish, Poorboy`s EX, and P21s Carnuba wax. I was using Griot`s Best of Show Wax but it is too hard to get off and when I am detailing for money I want to use the products that do a great job and come off easy. :xyxthumbs

My car is brand new, 2000 miles. I do have a few light scratches that I would like to get out. Will the #9 take care of that? Also I would like to use the souverans wax but im not sure which I should use the paste of the liquid?

direkt,

Your plan sound fine except I would suggest trying the #9 first on a test area and then if that doesn`t work try DACP followed by the #9.

I love EX and I top my jet black paint with Souveran Paste Wax. I just love this combo.

Here is a couple of pics of my well polished BMW with 3 layers of EX topped with Souveran Paste Wax.

Your car looks amazing! I want my car to look like that. So do you think the DACP would benefit me? Im willing to do 12 steps if thats what it takes. What time period did you apply the 3 coats of EX? Could I do them one after the other?

direkt,

I just sent you a PM about the steps I took to get my jet black 7 to look this way.

Good luck!

direkt, if you have some more isolated scratches here and there that aren`t spread out over a large area you might want to think about dealing with them on an individual basis. If they`re everywhere though, then yes you`ll probably want to progress up the polishing ladder.

Good luck!

yes most of mine are small isolated scratches. What product would you recommend?

Also I do have swirl marks which the dealership left so I wanna be sure to also get rid of those.
