I am looking for a good wheel cleaner that is strong enough to take out tar and A LOT of road crap. My dad has a Lexus with chrome wheels that have not been taken care of and a lot of crap has accumulated on these wheels over time. Any suggestions? Thanks :xyxthumbs

I love Griot`s wheel cleaner. I used P21s previously but switched to Griot`s (griotsgarage.com).

Eagle One A2Z. Strong stuff, easy to find. Run a search on it. :up

I use Eagle One A2Z also! I get it from a local tuner shop and since I go in there all the time I get my stuff cheaper.

Make sure A2Z comes in the orange transparent bottle. That`s EO`s newest forumula.

I have had good luck with EF HI (diluted 1:1 with water), and Sonus Wheel Cleaner. P21S is supposedly very good and is used by many here on this forum, but clearly the answers you are getting is overwhelmingly A2Z, I would surmise because of availability everywhere and price.....

A good regimen for those dirty wheels, which my fellow Bimmer owner AMP99 taught me....

1) Clean the wheels with whatever cleaner you decide

2) Clay the wheels with your favorite clay (I used Mothers with the lubricant)

3) Then spray or wash off the residue with regular wash soap.

4) You can then polish and seal the wheels after drying if you like

:xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs GOOD LUCK!!!

I have only used two wheel cleaners. The first was Meguiars "Hot wheels" and P21S Gel.

The new favorite is P21S!
