Recently somebody asked for the weights of the 5” and 6” PC counterweights, and I can’t find the thread (it may have even been on another msg board).

5” counterweight = 50.8g (1.8 oz)

6” counterweight = 60.5g (2.1 oz)

The screws holding the counterweight take a Torx T-20 head.

The extra washer that comes with the PC is used with the backing plate to give more clearance for the wrench.

Other PC stuff that may come in handy:

<IMG SRC=http://home.jps.net/~ntaylor/images/help.gif> Has anyone lightened the 5” counterweight for smoother operation when using a 3.5” backing plate and 4” pads? If so, please post what you did and how it worked.

What do you prefer with the Lake Country 6.5" pads for your PC, a 6" or 5" back plate?

Hey Nick,

RedBread from Roadlfly here, stupid multiple names!

I was thinking of grinding off the smaller, outer edge of the 5" counterweight to work better with 4 inch pads, does anyone have any immediate concerns about this? I`ll weigh mine before and after and pass on the results.

Washer? THAT`s why it`s always so hard for me to get the wrench in there. I learn something new every time I stop by.

it`s hard to get the wrench in there because of that massive silver mechanism that covers like 1/2 of the screw :)
