just purchased PC7336 from local Lowes ($109 plus 10% off + tax). :xyxthumbs

but I haven`t purchased any polish products.

I want to try either Megs #82 Swirl Free or DACP.

I`m getting 32oz bottle but should I try Swirl Free first and if it doesn`twork get DACP & try or just start with DACP and then Swirl Free? dont think I need 1 gallon.

also I`ll probably try hand polish (is it #81 or #7?, the one apply btwn SEC and S100).

Well where in NJ are you? I`ll be in and out of the Old Bridge area most of summer.

Its good to have a selection of polishing products on hand. I assume you purchased the CMA pad kit (DM-KIT I believe.) So which polish would you get would depend upon the finish.

DACP is a pretty strong compound, its a medium cut compound. Fairly aggresive stuff, but with a PC its not that strong. Might leave a fine haze that a follow up with #82 and a finer foam pad.

I think #81 is Meguiar`s hand polish. I`m not to familar with it Scottwax has a better knowledge of Meguiar`s Body Shop products so may he can and another forum member can comment. The Meguiar`s #7 is a glaze though almost along the same lines as SEC. I personally like the finish left behing by SEC and add numerous coats of S100.

I`m in Northern Jersey or sometimes around New Brunswick area.

Do you know any place I can get Meg`s Body Shop product around here?

Since I have swirl everywhere, I`ll get DACP and #82.

I just turn on PC, it`s so loud. is this normal?

Try this site for good prices on lots of Meguiar`s products. I purchased DACP and SFP from here myself. 2 day Fed-ex delivery to my house and an 800 number for ordering.

kpounds, thanks for the link. they have somewhat cheaper price than other sites I have looked. But I have to pay $10shipping so I`m looking for the local store.

MildSeven, I recently asked claymagic where they have distributors around my area, north jersey, and they told me to go to this place:

Auto Care Products of Northern NJ LLC

1121 Edgewater Avenue, Unit 19

Ridgefield, NJ 07657

201-840-1428

They probably have the meguiar`s there. I haven`t called or gone there yet, but tell me how they are if you choose to go.

:( sorry... but go to meguiar`s site, click "dealer locator", put in your zip code, check "Meguiar`s Professional Products" and search. That should get you what you need. Good luck!

Try CarCareonline.com, located in lodi, usually free UPS if over 50 bucks

Free shipping on all orders $74.99 I believe now. Larry is the owner of that company. Very knowledgable if not a little old school. Has a nice new webpage layout and accepts credit cards now. Meguiar`s, 3M, Blitz, Sonax, P21S, Wurth, Zymol, Lexol, and Detailer`s Choice are some of the product lines I think he carries. the in-stock inventory counter is also cool.

Last time I heard, I think he was opening a shop somewhere in N. Jersey.

good place to visit. just talk to him on the phone, he only carry 1 gallon. he doesn`t carry 32oz. 1 gallon polish is lil too much for me.

I ordered #83 from local paint shop ($19.xx for 32oz). bit expensive than online price but it was ok to me.

I worked with pc7336 (with CMA Yellow pad) today, wow less swirl now. I love DACP!. I needed to turn to speed 5 otherwise it`s hard to buff.

How often should I use #83? once/year?

I have CMA white pads but what do you guys use this pad for? Since I`m planning to go #83-SEC(by hand)-S100(by hand) route, I`m curious when I should use the white pads.
