We all know that carnuba wax in the raw state is as hard as a rock and must be heated and broke down with solvents . My question is what is CARNUBA SAP .I read this on a Zymol jar.

carnauba is a sap. It is excreated by the leaves of a palm tree nicknamed "The Tree of Life"

Carnauba sap is what is harvested in the trees in South America (I think Brazil) that is refined into Carnauba Wax which is then refined into wax (some waxes take the Yellow #1 carnauba wax and refine it again or bleach it white.)

Darn Zymol, supposedly decent waxes which some swear by. I think I`ll pass

I though that carnuba sap would be different then carnuba wax I think of sap as sticky and gooey and wax as hard and brittle . I also though that the sap was a leftover from the refineing process
