The weather has finally been nice around here so I decided to do a full detail on my truck. I stripped my Zaino and applied VM and topped it off with S100.

I have to say VM with S100 gives a nice deep wet look. I like the durability of Zaino but I like the look of S100 even more:xyxthumbs

Really nice! Black cars are great when they`re clean aren`t they. I know that that Yukon must have been quite a project.

Thanks! But before the help of everyone here the hood looked like this:

For me, black is the best color when well maintained and detailed and the worst color when neglected.

It is a beast, I did a full detail on my sisters Celica and her friends Bug and it took me less time to do both of them then to do my Yukon:p

Superb results. Can I ask what you did in this case to remove the swirls ? I know there is more then one method and was just wondering what worked for you. Aslo, did you use a PC or do it by hand.

Thanks,

Shahab

Gives us more details on what you used, I take it you used a pc to get rid of the swirls? I took the zaino off my car and used s100 and s100 sec, but it does not look like that. Infact, I am somewhat disappointed in the way it looks.

Did you use 3M SMR? Thinking about using that and S100 for my black 4Runner. I`ll have to look into VM though. Nice shiny rig!!!!

Those are some great pics of even greater results! Can`t even tell the color of your Yukon in the first pic the reflection is so strong.

BTW, nice to see even your fenderwells are nicely detailed!

The pic of the hood with the swirls is from a previous post after using 3M SMR by hand and getting that hazing.

To remove the hazing and swirls I purchased a PC and was able to get about 90% of the swirls and scratches out with SMR and DACP on some of the deeper scratches, after figuring out to let the product breakdown. :o I then topped it with about 5 coats of Zaino. Good results but not as wet as I wanted.

I finally got some VM and S100 and tried it on a friends black Passat wagon and like the results so decided to try it on my truck.

SMR- where needed- white pad

VM Applied with white pad

S100 - by hand

Scott, I was wondering if anyone would notice that:D
