Does S100 provide any UV protection? Does any fine carnuba wax provide protection?

Good question! Add Pinnacle Souveran to this list too!

If it does then its minimal. These carnaubas don`t last long enough to really give any real protection. That is what sealants are for. If your car is going to be exposed to the elements enough that you have to worry about UV protection then a synthetic sealant is what you need to look at getting into. Carnaubas just don`t last long enough. Maybe 6 - 8 weeks. Less if the climate is hot and humid.

After looking around I don`t see Souveran or P21S advertising UV protection from their waxes. At best they are listed as average. Average to what though? I think the main point of these waxes is to make your car look amazing and not so much to protect the color. UV protection is still best left to synthetics that will stand up to the sun and heat long enough to actually protect your paint.

AFAIK waxes do not provide any uv protection.

I use a sealant (like AIO) as a base and then a carnauba topper (best of both):o .
